Sound Notification
Vibecheck can play a short sound when Claude finishes working and is waiting for your input. That way you don't have to keep checking — you'll hear it.
How to Turn It On
- Open the Vibecheck panel and go to the Settings tab
- Under Notifications, check Play sound when Claude needs input
- Pick a sound from the list and click Preview to hear it
The setting saves automatically.
Choosing a Sound
Three sounds are available — preview them in settings to find the one you like. The sound plays at your system volume, so if your Mac is muted, you won't hear it.
Turning It Off
Uncheck the Play sound when Claude needs input box in Settings. Done.
It's Not Working
I don't hear anything›
- Check that your system volume is turned up and not muted
- Click Preview in settings to confirm the sound works
- Make sure the checkbox is checked
It plays when VS Code opens›
This is a known edge case with multiple VS Code windows open. Each window tracks Claude's state independently. The notification only fires on state changes — if Claude was already waiting when you opened the window, it may play once on startup.
